How do I know if my SEO campaign is working
03, Apr 2017

SEO – search engine optimisation – is an intangible thing.  You’re not paying for a material item, more a listing on a search engine that will drive visitors to your website and, ultimately, increased revenues.

So, how do you know that your search engine optimisation campaign is working?  After all, you might be trying to get your website ranked for a multitude of keywords, and you want to know that you are getting a good ROI, as you would any other investment.

Well, if you want to do it manually at any time, then you can!  Just open a Google browser and type in the search phrase that you are aiming to be optimised on, and see where your website appears in the natural search engine listings.  This is great....assuming you are only targeting one keyword, which is unlikely.

Most companies with search engine optimisation campaigns will look to optimise on 100 keywords or more, and this is something that you account manager here at MultiChannel Creative can go through with you as part of your set-up process.  However, you don’t want to be searching for your positioning on 100 individual keywords do you?

With this in mind, MultiChannel Creative provide you with a monthly report showing where your website is appearing in the various search engines for your campaign’s designated keywords, and the progress that the site is making month on month.  Realistically, this is the only way that you can get a feel for an intangible investment.

At the same time, the team at MultiChannel Creative are constantly monitoring the performance of your website in the organic SERPs and so a call to your account manager to discuss progress is also a good way to monitor performance.

Search engine optimization results CAN be tracked and monitored, providing you with a useful analysis tool to determine the ROI on your investment, as part of your overall business strategy, and here at MultiChannel Creative, one of Birmingham’s top website designers and SEO agencies, we will work with you to make this happen.
